The findings show that a lower cumulative grade point average (CGPA), lower physical activity and shorter study time are associated with playing online games. The community-based participatory research approach 31, 34 can also be another strategy for more informed research to record students' ideas, emotions, images and actions based on their individual experiences. Video games can help students achieve academic learning by reducing their stress levels, contextualizing the technical terms of games in classroom content, and acting as a self-reward system. The variables that depend on data analysis are students' academic performance (SAP), the time they spend playing each week, and the detrimental effects of online games on the study.
In addition, the promotion of extracurricular activities, such as sports or other activities, is also essential to help Bangladeshi students overcome their addiction to mobile games. The survey used a self-administered questionnaire, in addition to collecting online data (using a Google form) and conducting in-person interviews. Previous research shows that men are more likely than women to develop an addiction to MMORPGs because of the competitive, interactive, and teamwork aspects of games. In addition, the results of this research brought to light several serious health problems related to the widespread habit of online gaming.
These findings suggest that lower CGPA, lower physical activity, and shorter study time are associated with playing online games for at least 30 hours per week. The objective of this research was to determine the prevalence of online gaming addiction among university students in Bangladesh and the ways in which it affected their mutual relationships and academic performance. First, it will be analyzed if students who play video games obtain a different grade point average (GPA) than their peers who do not play or do not play. Independent factors include the time respondents spend playing online, daily exercises, extracurricular activities, different demographic characteristics of students, daily study hours, how often they miss class, etc.
A small number of students chose the option of not participating in the survey and were able to leave freely. Available literature indicates that adolescents suffer from various psychological problems, such as low self-control caused by addiction to mobile games. Every academic year or semester, requiring students to participate in extracurricular activities promotes a balanced lifestyle that improves both their academic performance and their mental and physical health.
